Nifty Halloween YouTube Thing: Hell

Most of the swing revival of the 1990s seemed too much about a Swingers-style glossy attitude, but one band stood out: Squirrel Nut Zippers, whose grimier sound focused more on blues and jazz than big band and rockabilly. They were darker, rougher, and yet more playful – all evident in their biggest single, “Hell,” a bouncy tune about what awaits us in the afterlife if we’re not careful.
