Nifty Halloween YouTube Thing: The Mummy

I’ve been spending the past week overdosing on the Mummy – the 1932 original, Universal’s oddball 1940s series, Hammer’s 1959 update, and, regrettably, the awful 1999 version. To help cleanse the taste of the latter from my brain, I’m going back to my favorite scene in any Mummy movie, in which Boris Karloff’s Imhotep first comes to life, much to the surprise of a too-impatient Bramwell Fletcher. First silence, then laughter; rarely have either been so effective.
